PicMonkey is a powerfully easy design and photo editing tool for designers and non-designers alike.
In addition to key functionality, our product offers templates, graphics, fonts, textures, themes, and more.
My team created and curated these under my direction.

Our approach
We built content as a cross-platform ecosystem, taking design, best practices, user requests, SEO, user experience, design trends, and more into consideration.
Each month we’d assess what was performing well, where we had competitive gaps, and seasonality. Using agile planning, we were open to shifts in needs and resourcing in order to maximize our impact.
Templates
PicMonkey offers 5,000+ design templates in hundreds of categories – social media posts, business cards, flyers, logos and everything in-between. We built them all.
Graphics
My team illustrated or licensed over 8,000 graphics in a variety of categories. Looking for icons? We gotchu. Silhouetted dogs? Sure. Trendy film frames? Naturally.
Fonts
Whatever font style you need, we’ve got it. It’s not just find-anywhere choices – we went deep into competitive options to offer the best possible fonts.
Textures
Have you ever wanted to put glitter into text? It’s one of our most requested (and most celebrated) ease-of-use features. And we have hundreds of other options.
Brushes
We have a draw tool with specially-designed brushes to make it easy for things like watercolor effects, glitter lines, and highlighting. It’ll pull on your heart … lines.
Themes
Themes are design kits. Full stop. They are a collection of assets that help build a consistent aesthetic and make a super easy starting point for consistent campaigns.
Key results
PicMonkey had 5.5M templates used in 2020, 1.8M templates downloaded in 2020, and traffic to templates is 1.8% of overall organic traffic.
Adding text and graphics is consistently in our top 10 most-used features.
